Porch n’ Pasture Farm is a delightfully decorated new construction. The original home, damaged by a chimney fire, has been rebuilt with guests in mind. The decor is farm and country and the wrap around porch is divine. With spectacular views, a pond to fish and plenty of places to roam, this is the perfect location for your getaway. With beds to accommodate up to 14, you will want to bring the whole family and a few friends.
Chateau Morrisette is just around the corner. Floyd is approximately 20 minutes away and Hillsville is around 30 minutes away. Closest grocery store is a country store in Meadows of Dan. Be sure to try Jane’s Cafe in Meadows of Dan for good food at good prices. A little finer dining can be found in Floyd.
Located just off the intersection of Conner Grove Rd and the Blue Ridge Parkway, this beautiful home is ready for large groups or even small families that need plenty of space.

Exactly as described, excellent top end furnishings and an impeccable location. The small town near by (Meadows of Dan) has all the essentials between the two or three stores there. A great place for kids with all the toys and games provided by the host and plenty of open area for them to run around and be as loud as they want without disturbing anyone (except maybe the cattle). This host has planned for everything. there are way more kitchen supplies than any other Airbnb I’ve been to, many foldable chairs and tables for outdoor events, and a whole 3 ring binder detailing fun things to do in the area. We stayed for my graduation from Virginia tech and it was only an easy 50 minute drive to Blacksburg. My father is in a wheelchair full time and this place was perfect for him. it is easily wheelchair accessible on the bottom floor with a large full bath, dining area, tv, fireplace, and two sleeper sofas on that same level. If you book this place, at the end of your stay the only regret you will have is not booking for a longer stay.

We really enjoy the time in the cabin. Clean, a lot of space, very friendly price, safe environment. It was even better than in the picture. The view from the patio was amazing!
Pat is an amazing host with easy communication for any issue.
Since it was the very short trip (1night) with 4 families, we were worried about the space and check in times, but Pat provided everything we needed with immediate response.
We’re so glad that we had chance to stay in the cabin , all families in our group liked the cabin so much and want to come back soon.

I can’t say enough about how great this place is! We stayed for Christmas holiday and it was delightful! The home was decorated tastefully but in theme for its location. No detail was missed.. from the Christmas decor to the candles that come on automatically at dusk to the wonderfully scented hand soap at every sink.. fantastic! Little touches like boxes of tissues located throughout the home was a thoughtful touch. Milk, orange juice, cereal and much more were left by the host. They definitely go the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable.
It was dreamy yet homey at the same time. Plenty of room for my family. Peaceful & quiet setting. We grilled out and there was plenty of propane with a spare just in case. There was also a great fire pit with wood nearby but unfortunately, it was too windy during our stay. There was also a cute pond nearby to enjoy.
We hope to stay again in the future!

This was a fantastic Air B&B experience. You won’t be disappointed. The house is IMMACULATE. Everything is beyond clean and decorated perfectly. The whole house has been updated! The linens on the beds were very comfortable. The downstairs bathroom is stocked with plenty of extra towels. Also lots of extra blankets downstairs and the shelves are stocked with games! The pantry even had throw away Tupperware which I would normally never take, but we made an expensive seafood chowder and had some leftovers and it was so nice to be able to take it with us. Such a nice touch that someone had kept their takeout container! Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. You will still need your aluminum foils and those type items. There is a great porch with multiple swings and rockers. The pond is so nice with a nice little dock. The upstairs living room does not have a TV which we loved cause we enjoyed chatting and playing games around the fireplace. The second bedroom has a double bed which is small, but it was still comfortable. The bunk room was great and offered tons of room. The pull outs downstairs were great for teens!
It was such a great experience overall. Great hidden gem!

We came for our annual girls’ weekend retreat – 4 friends- and loved everything about this property! Had to depart early due to an impending winter storm, but would have loved to have been snowed in a day or two more, honestly! This home is bright, warm and welcoming, lovingly furnished, and has lots of attractive spaces and extra touches (like an espresso maker and battery-lit candles situated here and there that come on automatically.) The wide wrap around porch is also wonderful, with pretty views of the quiet countryside. Pat, the host, was great! Meadows of Dan has a couple of coffee shops and a nice little country cafe, and of course the BRP is just a stone’s throw from the house. We can’t wait to return!

Our stay at Porch n Pasture was an excellent one indeed!:-).
Our family gathering consisted of 5 adults one child and two babies. This home is very family friendly considering we had access to a high chair, play pen, a HUGE cupboard filled with toys and games, a large porch to play or sit on, and a gigantic yard to play in!! Of course, adutlts have plenty of luxuries as well, including very comfortable beds, tons of hot water to shower in, lots of furniture to lounge in, a full kitchen to preare tasty meals in,a. large table to dine at and two fireplaces to relax around. There is also a T.V. downstairs if you like that, although we are not TV fans. Also, downstairs is a nice picnic style table that is perfect for board games or puzzles. We appreciated the washer and dryer since we do not like to go home with tons of dirty.laundry. We also used the grill for smores since we forgot to bring fire wood for the firepit there.
Pat was a very responsive, helpful and kind host and if we ever travel to Meadows of Dan again, we will surely stay here:-)

Beautiful property! We enjoyed getting to know the trees, birds, and other property inhabitants during our women’s retreat. The home is spacious and absolutely pristine. We loved the view from the deck and would like to return at our earliest opportunity. Adults can sit up in bed on both the top and bottom bunks without bumping their heads! (We’ve had that problem many times). The kitchen smoke detector seems to be a bit sensitive to toast, though we found that reassuring. Had there been a true emergency, we would have known right away! Pat was very communicative and accommodating. I hope y’all will consider a stay here.

This is a great house! Better than the pictures. Gorgeous view, really well designed and decorated, and very comfortable. Fireplaces and porches were so nice. Kids liked having their own space to hang out downstairs. Very close to Mabry Mill. We will definitely be back!
